Launch of the 550 LM

 

Care Racing Development & esmotorsport Limited are today launching a car to commemorate the astounding victory of the Care Racing/Prodrive Ferrari 550 Maranello at the 2003 Le Mans 24 hour race.

 

The aim has been to create a road going “Super” 550 LM Limited Edition as closely related to the Le Mans winning car as possible, while retaining the everyday usability expected from such a vehicle. The result has been a clearly recognisable relative of the race car, only significantly lighter and more powerful than the standard 550 road car; making the 550 LM not just a celebration vehicle, but also an extremely desirable one.

 

Just one hundred 550 LMs will be produced, each individually numbered, making them unique to their owners, who are expected to be collectors and enthusiasts. This amazing piece of automotive engineering is clearly a part of motorsport history.
